Gay Straight Alliance (GSA)


The purpose of GSA is to promote a supportive and open community for both gay and allied students, promote education and awareness of GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender) issues, and provide networking opportunities with similar campus and state organizations. We work to eliminate harassment or discrimination against GLBT people, their friends, allies or families.

Our group has:

  • sponsored World AIDS Day to raise money for the Rural AIDS Action Network
  • participated in the National Day of Silence
  • sponsored campus movie nights
  • participated in JustFair Lobby Day at the State Capitol
  • networked with other campus and state GLBT organizations

GSA welcomes any gay or straight person who believes harassment or discrimination against GLBT people, their friends, allies, or families is wrong.
