Eligibility Criteria and Admission Procedures for PSEO StudentsThe PSEO application process includes the following three forms:

Eligibility RequirementsYou must be a high school junior or senior at a public school, nonpublic school or home school.
You cannot be classified as a full-time student at your high school.
Seniors must have a minimum cumulative end of the year GPA of 3.00 with a class rank of 50% or higher. Juniors must have a minimum cumulative end of the year GPA of 3.20 with a class rank of 70% or higher. Your GPA is to be based on your end of the year grades. This is for all high school work (grades 10, 11, and 12) completed prior to enrolling at Itasca.
Students must test into college classes numbered 1000 or above on placement test in reading, English and math (if you are taking your math course at ICC). While under the PSEO program, students may not enroll in classes below 1000, non-PSEO and summer courses.

- May 31 - Students must provide a completed application, Notice of Student Registration form and verification form along with a high school transcript. Forms must be submitted to the ICC Records and Admissions Office by 4 pm on this date in order to register for Fall Semester at ICC under the PSEO Program.
- June 1 - Students must have taken the assessment test by this date (see note). If students have taken the placement test elsewhere, test scores in reading, writing and math must be turned into the ICC Records and Admissions Office by 4 pm, in order to register for Fall Semester at Itasca under the PSEO program. Students are able to retest once.
- June 14 - Students must have taken any needed assessment retests by this date in order to register for Fall Semester at Itasca under the PSEO program.
- June 15 - This is the last day to attend a registration session for students who wish to attend Itasca under the PSEO program for Fall Semester (see note).
- July 2 - Students must have their end of year high school transcript turned into the ICC Records and Admissions Office by 4 pm for final acceptance to Itasca under the PSEO program.
Note: Students must sign up for a placement test/retest session. The deadline for the placement test session is June 1. The deadline for retesting is June 14.
PSEO Deadlines for Spring 2008

Admission Procedure
- Schedule a date to take the required assessment test. You can call Itasca's Counseling Office 218-327-4467 or 800-996-6422, ext. 4467 to set up an appointment. Assessment results will determine your course placement. If an overall need for development coursework is indicated, enrollment in college level courses will be denied. Students may retest only once during the academic year.
- Schedule an individual registration session with an ICC counselor. Prospective PSEO students may not test and register on the same day.
- Make sure your Notice of Student Registration form with Sections I and II is completed and in your file. You will not be allowed to register without this form.
- Make sure you have completed the High School Verification form with your high school counselor or home school parent. This is to assure you are aware of your remaining course requirements and credits needed for high school graduation.
Criteria for Continuing as an Options Student
To continue at Itasca as an Options student, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.00. Students will be required to complete an ICC Academic Verification form and turn it into their ICC counselor prior to registering for the next semester. If your cumulative GPA falls below 2.00, you will automatically be suspended from Itasca Community College. An appeals process is in place for all students.
Restricted ClassesThe following classes are not open to Post-Secondary Option Students unless they are willing to pay the tuition, fees and equipment costs associated with the class.
